Khanty-Mansiysk is a city in Russia, the administrative center of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Ugra and the eponymous municipal district. As an administrative and territorial unit, the HMAO has the status of a city of district importance. Khanty-Mansiysk is located on the territory of the West Siberian Plain, on the right bank of the Irtysh River, 20 kilometers from the confluence with the Ob; in the natural zone of the taiga.
